Who knew? There's a three-hotel British chain called The Big Sleep. This reviewer claims it's named after the Chandler novel, but you wouldn't know it from the decor shown on the website.
Well I for one am interested and impressed with both your previous site and your blog here. I am an undergraduate currently writing her dissertation on the works on Chandler and Ellroy in relation to the landscape of LA, and whilst i have great access to Senate House, JSTOR, Muse etc., I am always on the lookout for any information that might lead to further study. To be honest, it is difficult to find academic information on Chandler that doesn't insist on one viewpoint (!), and pretty much information on Ellroy anywhere is difficult to locate. So, I can only hope that blogs like this can shed any light on, well, anything - I want to know so much more about Chandler and critical approaches to him! Thanks
